Catheter Inspection
and Measurement
The InspectRx® System is capable of measuring
and identifying the required components and parameters that constitute
an acceptable catheter. It measures the length and the diameter of
the cannula, color of the cannula sheath, and catheter hub color.
Dimensions are measured in microns.
The InspectRx® Vision System Simultaneously
Inspects All Required Parameters of 10 Catheters, and Displays The
Result.

The
InspectRx® system inspects the correct assembly
of catheter components, dimensional tolerances, and
any damaged subcomponent in the catheter assembly. The inspections
include Identifying The Color of The Protective Sheath Placed Above
The Stainless Steel Needle.
The InspectRx®
system has been developed to implement the strategy of Computer
Integrated Manufacturing (CIM). Six independent InspectRx®
Systems were implemented to inspect the following stations:
a. 10 simultaneous catheters. This is executed
by station 1
b. 10 individual printed information of each
catheter cavity. This is executed by station 2
c. Identify the correct product in all cavities
through their designated color code. This is executed by
station 3
d. Identify the lot number and expiration
date using the Julian Date. This is executed
by station 4
e. Decode the printed barcodes placed on the
carton box containing certain scores of catheters. This
is executed by station 5
f. Decode the printed barcodes placed
on the carton box containing numbers of catheters
boxes. This is executed
by station 6
The InspectRx® system identifies the
correct lot number, expiration date, cavity number, machine number,
and location facility code
The InspectRx® system decodes the
information of the labels printed in each box containing certain scores
of catheters. The system also identifies the correct lot number, expiration

each alphanumeric character through its powerful error-free character
